A nonprofit association and vendor-neutral peer-review ecosystem for practitioners in the fields of software factory and organizational design. Members from business, government, and research work together to refine methods rather than simply consume them. Jan-Henrik founded the Collective and chairs the board.
AI Coaching for Nonprofit Organizations
Jan-Henrik coaches nonprofit organizations and dedicated individuals on how to use AI. At the heart of his services is a workshop on writing grant proposals with AI support—offered in person for groups or online. Grants are the lifeblood of many initiatives, and that is precisely where capacity is most often lacking.

July 14, 2026 - The Leafcutter Approach
Presentation and moderation of the „Software Factories“ contribution-only mini-conference organized by the Agentic Organisations Collective in the showroom of the Forum for Digital Technologies at Fraunhofer HHI and DFKI in Berlin, in front of an audience of about 40 CTOs, lead architects, and tech founders. Jan-Henrik’s own presentation introduced the Leafcutter approach to decentralized agent-based systems: strict governance, a living system, no chaos.

May 28, 2026 - Open Data and AI as a Game-Changer for Volunteer Work
Presentation on the Green Stage at NØRD, the statewide digitalization convention organized by digitales MV at the HanseMesse Rostock. Digital sovereignty in rural communities is hindered by data entry barriers—volunteers don’t have time for complex systems. The presentation demonstrates how this manual bottleneck is replaced by an automated data pipeline: AI-powered extraction of event dates directly from flyers via WhatsApp photos and automated aggregation of scattered sources. The goal is a radically barrier-free ecosystem—no app, no login required. That same weekend, the project presented here won the NØRD Award 2026 in the Smart Community category.

An in-depth discussion on software factories and organizational agent systems—culminating in the decision to establish the Collective as an association. Initiated and organized by Jan-Henrik.

October 11, 2025 - AI in the Grant Application Process
A three-hour seminar as part of the „Village Facilitation“ continuing education course offered by the Institute for Cooperative Regional Development at the Neubrandenburg University of Applied Sciences, within the state program „MV tut was.“ Walkthrough of the entire process from the initial project idea to the finished application—developing a concept based on conversation transcripts, researching and evaluating funding programs, checking guidelines for deal-breaker criteria, filling out forms with exact character limits, and preparing a letter of intent and cost estimate. All using common AI chatbots, without specialized software. Guiding principle: „The idea is 100 % mine; the AI handles the execution.“ Half a year later, the same topic was presented as a workshop titled „Talking About Money—AI & Grants“ at the openTransfer CAMP Zusammenhalt organized by the Bürgermut Foundation in Neustrelitz, attended by about 120 participants.
