For years, the daily rate was the natural foundation of the business. That assumption is now under pressure. AI-powered micro-teams significantly reduce the effort required for traditional project work—and thus the price the market is still willing to pay for pure implementation. Anyone who continues to bill by the hour is tying their revenue to a metric that is shrinking. This presentation explains how AI factories are changing the cost structure of large platform projects, where the usual price level begins to slip as soon as individual providers offer noticeably lower rates, and what alternatives can be developed from a still-strong market position: from value-based models to outcome-based pricing. A starting point for discussion, not a ready-made solution.
A three-hour seminar as part of the „Village Facilitation“ continuing education course offered by the Institute for Cooperative Regional Development at the Neubrandenburg University of Applied Sciences, within the state program „MV tut was.“ Walkthrough of the entire process from the initial project idea to the finished application—developing a concept based on conversation transcripts, researching and evaluating funding programs, checking guidelines for deal-breaker criteria, filling out forms with exact character limits, and preparing a letter of intent and cost estimate. All using common AI chatbots, without specialized software. Guiding principle: „The idea is 100 % mine; the AI handles the execution.“ Half a year later, the same topic was presented as a workshop titled „Talking About Money—AI & Grants“ at the openTransfer CAMP Zusammenhalt organized by the Bürgermut Foundation in Neustrelitz, attended by about 120 participants.
